Description
Want to build production-grade AI systems where agentic workflows aren't just an afterthought, but the core product experience?
Are you looking for a role where you can bridge full-stack engineering craft with cutting-edge LLM orchestration, long-term memory, and low-latency streaming?
Great, then please read on as we have a role for you.
The role is based in Europe.
Our client's mission is to fundamentally change the productivity landscape around email, calendars, notes, and task management by developing proactive, AI-native applications designed for the general public. We are bringing seamless intelligence to workflows, scheduling, and daily errands, all without requiring users to master complex prompting.
As a Full Stack Engineer – AI Systems, you will own the product layer that turns these capabilities into usable, production-grade workflows. You will shape how intelligent agents operate, fail, recover, and deliver consistent value to users. This is a core engineering role where interactive AI capabilities are central to the product ecosystem, demanding exceptional system performance, rock-solid reliability, and high user trust.
Key Responsibilities
• Build end-to-end product features across the frontend, backend, and AI integrations.
• Design multi-step agent workflows that handle planning, tool use, failure, and recovery across sessions.
• Integrate LLMs, memory architectures, and external APIs into systems that behave reliably under real-world conditions.
• Architect user experience patterns designed for real-time interactions, including streaming states, partial results, and tight latency constraints.
• Improve system reliability, observability, monitoring, and fallback mechanisms for LLM and tool failures.
• Collect user signals and telemetry to support continuous model evaluation, hallucination reduction, and product iteration.
• Partner with ML and backend engineering teams to define system architectures and establish scalable integration patterns.
To be a good fit for the Full Stack Engineer role, you will have:
• Strong professional full-stack development experience using modern frameworks (Next.js, Python, Node.js).
• Practical experience building AI-driven applications, RAG systems, or working directly with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models).
• Solid understanding of system design, API architecture, and database systems (SQL & NoSQL).
• Demonstrated ability to design robust user experiences around network latency, graceful degradation, and non-deterministic model responses.
• Experience with containerization, deployment pipelines, and cloud orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to handle ambiguity, exercise independent judgment, and take features from idea to production with high ownership.
• Strong product intuition focused on client-side reliability and proactive, user-centric UX.
Reasons to join:
• Small, high-talent-density team building a greenfield AI productivity product from scratch.
• High-caliber engineers from top tech companies with a very high technical bar.
• Fully remote, global team with strong ownership and high-impact visibility.
• Very strong reward culture, including significant equity and compensation flexibility.
